WHAT IS DREAM?
For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.
John 3:16

Almighty God is a dreamer. God so loved mankind, that He began the entire redemption of man with a dream;
His vision was big and global. As a result of this, Jesus came to fulfill that
dream of redemption.
In
Genesis 12:1-4, God told Abram: “get thee
out of thy country…” He was only emphasizing that if Abram will be great,
he should change his mentality and reason like a child of God. Abram could not
achieve all that God said because one thing was missing- he had no dream.
And the LORD said unto Abram, after that lot
was separated from him, Life up now thine eyes, and look from the place where
thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land
which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Genesis 13:14-15
From
the above scripture, God told Abram that he would achieve what He (God) had
promised only if he had a dream. “…lift
up now thine eyes for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it…”
does not mean the physical sight but
connotes having a dream.
The
elasticity of your dream determines how far God will take you. You are where
you are now based on your dream; you cannot be greater than your dream. A man’s
destiny is defined by the dream he has.
WHAT IS DREAM?
Dream
is the invisible picture within you that defines your future. It is a vision
born of revelation not ambition; it is a picture of what you have been called
by God to accomplish. The Word of God (Bible) is a Dream Bank.
We
live in a world ruled by dreamers. A life without a dream is like embarking on
a journey without a destination. All you need to do for your dream to be
accomplished is to let your dream be in line with God’s Word and no force can
stop you. God does not determine your measure of blessing; you determine it.
Not every dream however id from God; every dream that contradicts the word of
God is not from God hence, your dream must be in line with God’s word.
As you begin to dream, no force
in hell will stop you in Jesus name.
Neither shall thy name any more be called
Abram, but Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
Genesis 17:5
God
changed Abram’s name to Abraham and painted a dream for him that changed his
lifestyle.
When
you are able to grasp the picture God has painted for you in His Word, then you
have a glorious future. Your dream becomes a reality.
He staggered not a the promise of God through
unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
Romans 4:20
Abraham did not staggered at his dream because, he
believed unwaveringly that his dream was rooted in God’s word and would not be
uprooted by any force. His dream came to pass because of his steadfastness;
irrespective of the prevailing circumstance.
And he brought him forth abroad, and said,
look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and
he said unto him, so shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he
counted it to him for righteousness
Genesis 15:5-6
God
is the Author of dreams and His Word (the Bible) is made up of amazing dream
seeds. The wise go to God’s word to draw their dreams.
The
Holy Spirit begins everything with an invisible picture within you for your
desired dream to manifest.
Abraham
nurtured the pictures of many generations and his harvest became mighty. When you
visualize the reality of your dream, nothing can alter it; not even curse;
because, Jesus Christ paid the price to destroy every curse on you (Galatians
3:13-14). Seeing the validity of your dream makes you resolute irrespective of
the prevailing circumstance.
Jesus
had a big dream; came to the world with that dream; earnestly pursued the dream
without wavering and His dream was fulfilled. What is your dream and what is
your decision concerning that dream?
People
set goals but cannot achieve those goals because they are dreamless. You can
only set goals, when you have a dream.
In
1952, a prominent university discovered that out of 100 students that
graduated, only three students had dreams and wrote down their goals. After
graduation, ten years later, study showed that only 3% of the students were
successful; 97% were not successful because they graduated without any dream.
Consider
the Star in any field; he is the one with a dream. You can be educated and yet
be irrelevant if you have n dream.
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write
the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
When
it comes to dream, always write down your dreams.
If
you do not write down your dreams and goals you cannot go forward in life.
